Global AI Back Together – Copenhagen

The Global AI Back Together is a free event organized across the world on 19-20-21 of October 2021 by local communities that are passionate about artificial intelligence on Microsoft Azure.

Meet us in person in Copenhagen, and learn about PyTorch, Reinforcement Learning and more!

17:30 – 18:00 – A bite to eat
18:00 – 20:00 – Start sessions
20:00 – 20:30 – Networking and drinks
20:30 – End of event

======= Sessions =======
Build and deploy PyTorch models with Azure Machine Learning
(Henk Boelman)
With machine learning becoming more and more an engineering problem the need to track, work together and easily deploy ML experiments with integrated CI/CD tooling is becoming more relevant then ever.

In this session we take a deep-dive into Azure Machine Learning, a cloud service that you can use to track as you build, train, deploy, and manage models. We use the Azure Machine Learning Python SDK to manage the complete life cycle of a PyTorch model, from managing the data, to train the model and finally run it into a production Kubernetes cluster.

At the end of this session you have a good grasp of the technological building blocks of Azure machine learning services and train a PyTorch model on scale.

Reinforcement Learning in gaming
(Eve Pardi)
Microsoft uses reinforcement learning in many ways to improve our products and services. AI and machine learning can help accelerate game development by providing more realistic worlds and challenges as well as support automation and live operations. At Game Stack Live, Microsoft Research announced Project Paidia, a research effort aimed at exploring new opportunities created with AI based reinforcement learning in gaming.

During this session, attendees will be able to get started with Reinforcement Learning for gaming with the use of Azure Machine Learning.

======= Speakers =======

Henk Boelman (Microsoft)
Senior Cloud Advocate at Microsoft
Henk is a Cloud Advocate specializing in Artificial intelligence and Azure with a background in application development. He is currently part of the regional cloud advocate team in the Netherlands. Before joining Microsoft, he was a Microsoft AI MVP and worked as a software developer and architect building lots of AI powered platforms on Azure.

He loves to share his knowledge about topics such as DevOps, Azure and Artificial Intelligence by providing training courses and he is a regular speaker at user groups and international conferences.

Eve Pardi (Avanade, AI42)
Eva has been working close to Microsoft since her first years of university, as a Microsoft Student Partner first, and now as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional. She has worked with Azure Infrastructure (Azure AD, Datacenters, etc.), then Mobile and Web development, and today she has expanded her focus with Data Science and the Machine Learning (ML)/AI services provided by Microsoft.

She’s a familiar face as speaker at conferences, meetups and other community events, sharing her passion for AI and how it can be used to improve life quality around the world. Board member of Global AI Community and AI42.

Eva also writes articles about her projects and researches and is mentoring and supporting people who would like to start in the field of Data Science and AI.
